Floral tapestries capture the beauty of a bloom for ages and saves it for all to admire
For centuries people have admired fine tapestry and decorated their homes with it. Floral tapestries are a very popular choice for many people as they are usually very bright and colorful. They usually are produced on a solid color background making the colors of the flowers appear more vivid. Black is a frequent choice because it can coordinate many different flowers without them clashing with the background color. It can make the flowers in floral tapestries appear to almost jump right out of the frame and into the room. Black is also a color that will suit almost any room if placed properly. It frames the flowers very nicely.
There are many different kinds of floral tapestries. They may be just a single stem on a plain background. Or they may be a huge arrangement of many colors taking up much of the canvas. The craftsmanship can be so good on these tapestries that you can almost smell the flowers they appear so lifelike. Careful color selection and shading can caused the needlework to give a three dimensional appearance. There are producers of tapestry that work only in the subject of flowers much like artists that paint select choice themes to work on.
Floral tapestries have been a common theme of tapestries for many centuries. Many of the finest have survived and been passed on through the generations. Many have found permanent homes in the great museums around the world. These antiquities are often copies and are still sold as reproductions today. The Internet can show you a very good display of examples.
