Daisy Tapestry

$100.00
SKU: EUFL123

The message that daisies bring are of innocence, purity, and gentleness on behalf of both the giver and the receiver. The daisy's message is, "You have as many virtues as this plant has petals," or, "I will consider your request." A white daisy symbolizes a common feeling of affection, and a red daisy tells of beauty unknown to the possessor.

This image of a Daisy was inspired by the botanical painter Pierre-Joseph Redouté (July 10, 1759 - June 20, 1840). He was a Belgian painter and botanist, known for his paintings of the roses, lilies and other flowers at Malmaison. He was an official court artist of Queen Marie Antoinette, and he continued painting through the French Revolution and Reign of Terror.

Imported from Belgium. Pale cream background. 97% cotton. Lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. This tapestry is available in 2 sizes, 26"x14" $100.00 and 52"x28" $250.00
