Edward Burne-Jones developed an abiding interest in the decorative arts led which led to the design tapestries – especially the Holy Grail series (1890-1895)
This A Fabulous Fine European Wall Hanging Tapestry Entitled: "Holy Grail" Designed By Edward Burne-Jones and Originally Woven By Morris And Co In 1895-96 it is one of six panels illustrating The Story Of The Holy Grail.
It Represents The Arming And Departure Of The Knights Of The Round Table, amongst which are Sir Bors, Sir Percival and Sir Galahad. Depicted is Lady Guinevere handing Sir Lancelot his shield.
The Original Tapestry Hangs In The Birmingham Museum.
