Religious (Christian) Tapestry
Christian art in tapestries is art produced in an attempt to illustrate, supplement and portray in tangible form the principles of Christianity. The prominence of art and the media, style, and representations change over time however, the unifying theme is ultimately the representation of the life and times of Jesus, and both the New and Old Testaments.
Depictions of saints, angels, Magi ("magi" is most commonly used in reference to the Gospel of Matthew's "wise men from the East") are also common, especially in Anglicanism
